Sharon Fischer, LCSW, is a dedicated therapist known for her compassion and expertise in addressing the needs of children and teenagers. She specializes in a variety of issues, including anxiety, OCD, behavioral issues, and parenting techniques. Her warm and kind nature will put you right at ease upon meeting her.
Sharon's experience spans both pediatric clinics and private practice settings. Her unique perspective as a parent also informs her practice, allowing her to effectively support families in navigating various challenges. She can help you improve your overall well-being and mental health through a compassionate and informed approach.
Sharon earned her Psychology degree from Providence College and a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College, establishing a strong academic background that supports her practice.
Since starting her post Master’s career in 2006, Sharon has practiced in both California and Massachusetts, developing a multifaceted approach to therapy. Her techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, positive parenting, and play therapy. Notably, her specialized training in CBT under the guidance of Dr. David Burns at Stanford University, enhanced her therapeutic skill set.
